Make Your Own Ceramic Mug

$129.00

Join us in the Stackwood warehouse this festive season and learn all about the fun and meditative craft of slab building to create your own mug.

A perfect staff or group activity to encourage community, engagement and a slow down in this busy season.

With dark stoneware clay you'll learn to assemble from a starting slab. We will guide you through any tweaks so you can customise the design of your mug and you'll learn how to attach a handle.

There are no previous skills required, simply bring your authentic self.

Participants are welcome to bring along their own aprons or borrow one of ours.

Other dates available on request including weekends.

Takeaway

  • Time in our warehouse with an incredible local artist
  • A functional ceramic mug in your own design, finished and fired by our artist (ready to collect 4 weeks after your workshop)
  • The skills to continue making at home

Other dates available on request including select weekends.

Important details

Your piece will be fired and finished post-workshop. Cost included in your ticket. A huge amount of care is exercised when finishing off your precious hand-made items. Please note that clay is unpredictable and on rare occasions, items break in the kiln. This is all a natural part of the fun of perfecting your craft.

Works will be dishwasher safe but we recommend a hand wash for longevity.

Works will be available within 4 weeks after the class date from the Stackwood store. You will be contacted when they are ready to pick up.

About Stackwood

Stackwood has been hosting a thriving series of workshops for the past 7 years in their ex-diesel mechanics warehouse, turned coffee, plant and creative haven.

Learning new skills is an important part of what drives us. Whether it be plant-care knowledge passed on by our nursery experts or face-to-face classes with one of our favourite local artists, we couldn't think of anything better to put energy towards. Learning to make or do something slows us down, encourages presence in the moment and cultivates a more mindful way of living.

We know you and your team will love slowing down and working with their hands this festive season to create a functional piece for their home that they will love.

Terms and Conditions

Please note this class requires a minimum of 6 attendees in order to run. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you are unable to make your date you are able to send someone else in your place. You can find more details in our Terms and Conditions.
