Still Life with Maggie Johnson

$139.00

Join Walyalup (Fremantle) artist Maggie Johnson for an evening on the brushes, painting in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Having returned from a year abroad, Maggie is back teaching at Stackwood and we couldn't be more thrilled!

On the night, Maggie will artfully style the objects with a variety of interesting shapes, colours and textures, arranging the composition for maximum visual impact. Using water based acrylic and painting on a 30x40cm canvas you'll explore the importance of composition, lighting and perspective in creating a compelling still life painting.

Under Maggie's guidance you'll be encouraged to experiment and explore your creativity while also emphasising the fundamental principles of acrylic painting. This is a no stress, no pressure class and is for anyone looking to dip their toe into the world of acrylic painting, or those seasoned creatives who love learning from a fellow artist. No previous experience necessary, just bring your authentic self.

All tools, materials and light evening refreshments will be provided. You may like to bring your own apron or use one of ours.
