It's a Wrap: Made Local Market
Thank you to everyone who came along to the Made Local Market and supported their local businesses, artists, foodies and makers this August. We couldn't have wished for a better weekend with a record turn out and so many great market vibes, we love our community!
The sun was shining, the Stackwood studios were open to the public, the plant store was stocked high with greenery and our venue filled with 30+ of our favourite artisans and makers.
The market kicked off Friday night with the Stackwood bar open, serving up natural wines by Wise Child Wine Store and beer by Fremantle's own Otherside Brewing Co, and an intimate music session in the yard with local singer / songwriter Ribs.
Food trucks served up fresh summer eats to the masses including Comida do Sul, Bantastic Mi and Bean Eatin' plus crowd favourite Kuld Creamery scooping Canadian-style ice cream all weekend.
Market-goers were treated to coffee by Stacked Cafe, flowers by Floral Army and kids enjoyed creating plaster art with Earth Friendly Arts, plus pom-pom making with Sun & Flower studios and Confetto Co.
A new face at the Made Local, Sarah from Grafton Pottery sold out of her wares entirely by Sunday of market weekend.
Some of the beautiful pieces available on Sarana Haeata's stand including the last of her hand-thrown ceramics with a shift of her business into illustration.
Flora Waycott talked with market go-ers about the inspiration behind her work with many pieces based on local WA flora and fauna.
The market had a strong fashion contingent, including Many Peaks Assembly and her carefully designed items for everyday.
Marime Studios' refined collection of boldly shaped earrings were a hit with market go-ers.
Punters brought their furry friends and got a discount from stand All Ears Pet Gear.
Our studios opened their doors to you including Scott and Nora's print shop Neighbourhood Press.
Kuld Creamery kept our sweet cravings in check with Canadian-style ice cream and cookies.
Bean Eatin' vegan food van kept our tummies full of soul food.
Along with street eats, delicious salads, coffee and more from Bantastic Mi, Comida do Sul and Stacked Cafe.
Market go-ers spent a lot of time in our yard, soaking up the sun and unseasonal weather.
All topped off with the soulful sounds of local songstress Ribs which had us feeling this dreamy!
We were so overwhelmed by the incredible community support for our market event that we have to say another massive thank you to all the vendors involved and all those who attended on the weekend.
