Make Your Own Ceramic Hanging Planter with Sarana Haeata
This product is unavailable
Learn to build and glaze your very own ceramic planter with artist Sarana Haeata across two-weekend sessions.
In the first session, students will learn slip casting techniques to create the shape of their own hanging pot or bench top planter (or both!) By the end of this session each student will have a pot ready for firing.
In the second session, Sarana will guide the group through glazing techniques that will best achieve each participant’s individual design.
After the workshops are finished the pots will be fired a second time and available for collection the following week from Stackwood during store hours. Upon collection, participants can choose a small succulent plant and leather straps to complete their creation!
All tools, materials and light morning tea will be provided each Saturday. Please bring along an apron, this workshop gets messy!

Sarana is a ceramicist and illustrator who lives in the summery lands of Fremantle. In 2014 she began her label Hang With Me Ceramics through which she creates handmade, bespoke planters and hanging pots. Her unique style focuses on the mark of the craftsman and how the imperfections in an object are actually what make it personal, connective and perfect.
