Photography for Small Business with Bo Wong


Join Bo Wong for this intimate session teaching you how to tell the story of your creative small business through a visual framework.

In this workshop you'll learn how to communicate your brand personality clearly and directly to your customers and clients, using your phone camera for web or social media. You'll also gain the knowledge to up your photography game with easy to implement tips and tricks, suitable for both service and product based businesses.

You'll leave with: 

  • Hands-on experience photographing with our instructor Bo Wong.
  • In-depth tips and tricks to improve your photography skills.
  • Information on best practice for lighting, composition and setting up for photos at home.
  • An idea on how to plan and use visual imagery as a tool for communicating your business personality.

You'll also receive a Stackwood-branded moleskin notebook to continue your learnings at home.

This workshop is suitable for you whether you are struggling with visual identity or if you are already confident but would like some more tools in your kit. This class is not for career photographers.

Bring along your own camera or smartphone and and one indicative example of your product to photograph on the day. All other tools, materials and light morning/afternoon tea will be provided.

If you are a a service-based business this still applies to you, for example if you are a graphic designer you could bring some business cards you’ve designed for someone else (with the appropriate permissions).

About Bo

Bo Wong is a professional photographer based between Denmark and Fremantle. Bo has spent two decades refining her technical skills and understanding of the unique needs of artists and creative businesses. With a degree in Communications, Bo runs workshops and professional developments including for the Stackwood School and multiple-day retreats at NewFarm, she also co-hosts the Soul Traders podcast.

If you are unable to attend your class due to illness or need to isolate, please provide as much notice as possible. We can move you to another class date or issue a credit voucher.
