Emma was recently was awarded 2023 Paula Whitman Leadership in Gender Equity Prize by the Australian Institute of Architects, and brings her own vast experience in navigating business and family life to our chat.

About Lael Stone
Lael Stone is a speaker, educator and author. Lael began working in childbirth education and postnatal care – working with couples through pregnancy, birth and the first few years of parenting as a Doula, Calmbirth® Practitioner and Postnatal trauma Counsellor. Working in this field showed Lael the importance of connection and trust. Lael now works across Birth Education, Aware Parenting, Sex Education and has a prolific body of work behind her. Lael is a successful business owner in her own right.
About Bernadette Lack
Bernadette Lack is a midwife, personal trainer, wife, mother and published author. Since 2007 she has worked as a midwife across Australia and overseas. B has worked in a variety of settings from remote Aboriginal communities to large city hospitals and homebirth. She holds a Bachelor of Midwifery with honours and a Master of Public Health. B received the Sidney Sax medal for best overall performance in her masters. She aims to complete her PhD on the outcomes of her Core and Floor Restore Course - which has helped thousands of women to heal their pelvic floor post-partum, and in all seasons of life.
About Yara Heary
Yara Heary is a Walyalup (Fremantle) based psychologist and founder of Life After Birth Psychology. Yara's work encompasses online therapy, coaching & support for women throughout their mothering journey. Her aim is to help women grow, heal, and connect with their authentic self as they mother. Yara hosts a podcast which features conversations with experts, activists, and change makers in the mothering/motherhood field about their lived experiences of becoming a mother and their journeys so far.
