The Kentia Palm is an Australian native species that originates off the east coast on Lord Howe Island. This relatively slow-growing palm has a slender trunk with feather-shaped, dark green, drooping fronds.
This plant can tolerate low sunlight exposure, air conditioning and central indoor heating, although it will be happiest in bright indirect sunlight with the occasional trip outside to hose down the leaves (make sure you keep it our of direct sunlight if you are doing so!) This plant can grow to a height of 9 metres, but will grow slowly indoors.
Botanical name: Howea forsteriana
This plant comes in a standard 260mm diameter plastic pot.
