Join plant expert Claire Greenhill for this hands-on houseplant masterclass. It'll kick you off with everything a beginner needs to know about getting started and maintaining an indoor garden.
This small and practical session covers the basics of indoor plant care such as light and water requirements and selecting the best position for your leafy friends. You'll also learn when and how to feed your plants, all about soil composition, and how to troubleshoot common pests and health complaints.
You'll learn the process of potting and repotting a plant, a process new gardeners are often nervous about. Then take home your potted plant in a Mr Kitly 170mm self watering pot of your colour choice.* We love Mr Kitly pots because they're 100% recycled, BPA free and designed in Melbourne.
Claire will also take you through a propagation activity where you will get to cut and propagate several varieties of plant using the tip, layering and division methods, in both water and soil. You'll be able to take these home and try your hand at growing them from scratch. Propagation is a great way to grow your garden at little-to-no cost. The methods taught will be dependent on seasonal plant availability.
To finish up you'll make your own pest spray to use broadly in plant care routine and get rid of those nasty bugs that sometimes compromise the health of our plant families.
Sign up for an intimate session with Claire and send your indoor plant confidence sky high! There will be plenty of time for your own plant questions in this session. All tools, materials and afternoon tea are provided.
Plus, you'll enjoy 10% off plants at the concept store on the day of your workshop.
Please note: if you've attended one or more of our Indoor Plant Knowhow, Propagation or Plant Doctor workshops, you may find some course content is repeated. This masterclass is much more comprehensive, hands-on and personal, with lots of time to learn from Claire.
