Cultivating a Cottage Garden with Casey from Pinch Dash Glug
Winding pathways, garden beds bursting with scented blooms, herbs and abundant bird and bee life, who doesn't just adore a cottage garden?
The garden offers us all a way to slow down, re-engage with the natural world and find a deeper appreciation for some of life’s simplest pleasures; planting a rose and watching it bloom, eating a fresh tomato straight off the vine and watching insects flit from plant to plant.
Casey from Pinch Dash Glug will share with you the beauty of a cottage garden and how to employ cottage garden principles in your space to bring it to life. This class will cover topics like selecting the right plants for this style of garden, layout, setting up for success, how to combine perennials, annuals and biannuals (and what the difference is between them!) and how to embrace a little wilderness within a traditional garden setting.
Casey takes a spray-free, organic approach to gardening to help increase insect and bird diversity and protect native fauna. Through her work she hopes to help others gain confidence in their own garden, to turn their backyards into edible, blooming and bug and bird-friendly spaces.
