Make Your Own Mounted Elkhorn with Sharon Barbera
Learn about this fabulous fern and make your own mounted Elkhorn trophy in this dynamic hands-on workshop. Our plant guru Sharon will guide you through the process of preparing your surface board, attaching and presenting your Elkhorn plant. You will also learn how to care for your new mounted trophy, including when and how to water as well as tips for placement and feeding.
Elkhorns are in fact native to Australia and traditionally grow on tree trunks and absorb nutrients and water through their fronds, making them ideal for a mounting.
These unique plants have had a recent resurgence in popularity; featuring in our favourite interiors magazines and online journals. We love them for their characterful ‘faces’ and wild appearance.
Lean to mount and care for your Elkhorn at Stackwood and you will be rewarded with a vibrant new feature for your home.
All tools, materials and afternoon tea will be provided.
Date and time:
Sunday 22nd October, 10:00am - 12:00pm
