Make Your Own Ceramic Earrings with Jess from Wood Meets Clay
Learn to hand-build and glaze your very own ceramic earrings with Jess from Wood Meets Clay across two-weekend sessions.
You'll start off by creating templates for your designs, preparing the clay, cutting out and refining the shapes for your pieces and then choosing from a selection of stoneware glazes. Then Jess will teach you how to design and apply glaze to your pieces in preparation for firing.
In the second session, you'll finish off your pieces by sanding, joining and attaching sterling silver findings to create your unique final products.
In this course, you will have the opportunity to make up to 5 sets of ceramic earrings personalised to your own design. The cost includes all materials and sterling silver findings.
This skill is easily transferable to your home space so you can keep creating.
All tools, materials and light morning tea will be provided.
Participants are welcome to bring along their own aprons or borrow one of ours. This class gets messy in the first session!
If you are wanting to make a more specialty piece or are well versed in making, feel free to bring any of your own tools that you’d like to use.
