Made locally by The Plant Care Co. Try this soil activator spray in conjunctions with our potting mix and watch your plant grow!

The Plant Co beneficial bacteria plant food leverages multiple biological pathways and increases the efficiency of these natural biological processes to enhance plant performance. It comprises of unique naturally occurring organisms and their metabolites which are produced in proprietary multi-phase fermentation processes.

  • Reduces fertiliser leaching and runoff.
  • Can aid in converting ammonium to nitrate allowing more potential for plant to absorb nutrients in cooler weather.
  • Applied in conjunction with fertilisers allows better plant uptake of those nutrients.
  • Add 1 teaspoon or 5 grams to a 4lt watering can or 2 teaspoons or 10g to a 9lt watering can and give it a good drench without overdoing it to avoid excess leaching.


Apply to potting soil or soil of garden beds. It is eco-friendly and can be applied after planting or for maintenance while plant is in a pot, ground or fully established.


Allow the biology to sit in water for up to 30mins and shake well before applying it to the soil and plants so it activates or “wakes up”

Repeat every 2-4 weeks.

General plant care tips

Just like us, plants get hungry! To really nurture your plants you will need to feed them some food. A balanced fertiliser, or 'plant food' will provide houseplants with all the nutrients they need to stay strong and encourage new growth. You can find some great plant products in our Plant Care collection. We particularly love this plant food from The Plant Runner, and the seaweed tonic by Munash Organics.

During the warmer months when plants are actively growing they'll need a bit more food and water. During the cooler winter months plants generally slow their growing and won't need as much to eat or drink.

Delivery, postage and pick up

You can choose at checkout whether you would like your items delivered, posted or made available for pick up. Please note we cannot post plants – these need to be picked up or delivered.

If you place an order but don't need it right away please specify a delivery or pick up date in the 'special instructions' at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate.  

Delivery
We deliver locally within 25km of our Fremantle warehouse on Tuesdays and Fridays. Order cut-off for same-day delivery (Tues, Fri) is 9am. Orders placed after 9am on a delivery day or on any other day will be delivered the following delivery day, unless specified otherwise. If you would like to request a specific delivery date please let us know in the notes section at checkout.

Postage
We pack all orders for postage the next business day and you'll be notified when they are on their way. We cannot guarantee a delivery date but we will always get your order to you as soon as possible.

Pick up
All orders for pick up will be made available to collect on the same day if ordered before 11am, or the following day if ordered after 11am. Pickups can be made during store hours.

 

Returns and Refunds

We make sure we only stock the healthiest plants at Stackwood, and take the greatest of care of all our plants while they’re in our warehouse. We guarantee that plants will arrive at your doorstep in good health.

If your plant does arrive damaged or it doesn’t meet your expectations, please take a photo and send through to info@stackwood.net.au along with your order number. We’ll happily replace it or refund your money.*

*Please be sure to let us know within 24 hours of receiving your plant.
