Happy holidays, and what a year it's been!

Thank you to everyone who supported Stackwood this year by coming along to an event, shopping in our store, stopping by for a coffee or attending one of our workshops.

Can you believe we have had 160+ events in our space, taught 1200+ of you a new skill and held 65+ of our own workshops across the year?

We love hosting events, which is lucky as we held your weddings, engagement parties, fitness classes, hidden music gigs, workshops, fundraisers and workplace events all under the warehouse roof.

We had two Made Local Markets (your favourite) and welcomed the community in droves to support 70+ makers and shop local.

We held 65+ of our own classes, everything from plant care to visible mending to ceramics to weaving, you name it - it was in our program. A whopping 90% of these sold out and we didn't have to cancel even one of the classes we had planned (thank you!)

We couldn't be more thrilled with how many of you wanted to slow down, make with your own two hands and embrace old skills. We were able to develop 9 entirely new courses and support the local craft movement by engaging 13 facilitators.

One of our favourite community events was our monthly Repair Cafe which teaches people how to repair aided by a volunteer expert - a whopping 447+ items were repaired over 10 cafes and we couldn't be prouder!

Likewise, our much loved Plant and Food Swaps promoted sustainability with people trading tips, tricks and homegrown plants/produce. Plus our Garage Sale Trail with Perth stylist Featherhorse was HUGE, with 15+ stands and lines well out the door in support of reuse, reduce and recycle.

Lastly, but not least - we were visited by some of our favourite people. Internationally renowned artist Mary Anne Moodie, who taught us to weave and a business trick or two, Perth icon Anya Brock and pop up stores from our some of Australia's very best social enterprise labels Magpie Goose and NORTH.

We are very proud of what we have been able to achieve in our little corner of Fremantle. We are a very little team but our reach speaks for itself. Thank you so much to all our staff and studios who support us throughout the year, and to you for embracing Stackwood and local.

To keep in the loop with what we have planned in 2020 make sure you are signed up to our e-newsletter here.
