Happy holidays, and what a year it's been!

Thank you to everyone who supported us at Stackwood by coming along to an event, shopping in our store, stopping by for a coffee or attending one of our workshops in this unprecedented year.

2020 certainly threw us a few curve balls but when we moved online during COVID lockdowns we were overwhelmed with support from the community for our local delivery program and we started to bring plants directly to your door.

We loved reading your messages of support telling us how much greenery brightened your time in isolation or how much a plant delivery turned around a bad day. We've been thrilled to be able to continue this service throughout the year and into next with daily deliveries.

This year we went without our favourite biannual event the Made Local Market and unfortunately saw the postponement of many events including markets, pop ups, weddings and workshops. Despite this we still managed to safely hold 50+ events in our space, teach close to 1000 of you a new skill and hold 70+ of our own workshops across the year. Pretty cool, right?

COVID saw a whole new renewal in the craft movement with so many of you taking time to slow down, make with your own hands and embrace old skills. We were so impressed with the enthusiasm you all showed at jumping in and learning pottery, weaving, stitching, printing, gardening and more.

The monthly Repair Cafe also persevered after a short hiatus. This community event teaches people how to repair their broken or worn down household items instead of sending them to landfill. Aided by a volunteer expert - 241 items were repaired over 7 cafes. What community spirit!

We are very proud of what we have been able to achieve during trying times, our very small team pulled together and worked harder than ever. Thank you so much to all our staff and studios who support us throughout the year, and to you for embracing Stackwood and local.
